 Calling all kids who want to act, role play, dress up and star in a show or make a movie... LINX Youth Theater offers an unparalleled performing arts program that challenges and develops our next generation of actors. Our Black Box Theater is packed with costumes, props and state-of-the-art green screen and movie making technology, along with film editing software used by the professionals to help children expand their imaginations. Todd Morse, our Theater LINX Leader, directs the children in writing their own songs and performances in order to maximize the participation of every performer.

Here is the most advanced filmmaking for our oldest filmmakers. The children will work in front of and behind the camera to create one enormous project, complete with pre-production planning and post-production soundtrack and special effects. ( more information & class times) |
No need to go to Hollywood when we have our own green screen right here at LINX! This introductory movie-making class has children creating original short films in different styles. Come learn how to work a camera, how to perform, and even how to direct. ( more information & class times) |
This high-tech class makes use of the LINX green screen and the newest special effects to produce original masterpieces. While creating two short features each season, these young filmmakers are able to explore different film techniques, outdated and current special effects, and extreme character development. The Platinum Players is an invite or audition-only group that meets twice a week to produce the flagship show at LINX. Students must have either completed another LINX performance program and been invited by the director or, if already well experienced in theater, a prospective student may request an audition. Full House, Family Matters, Home Improvement... This class will create its own silly sitcom, producing a full episode each month. Laughs will go hand in hand with skill development. The DVD series will go home at the end of the season. ( more information & class times) |
Saturday Night Live, Kids in the Hall, Monty Python... Jump on stage, improvise a scene, and then scribble down the best moments. We'll craft those moments into a witty script and film the sketch! ( more information & class times) |
If you have a budding star, this class will provide an excellent introduction to theater. With two shows per season, the children will create costumes and props, while also stretching their knowledge with memorization techniques, elementary music theory, and storytelling.
