LINX, LLC, the premier provider of after school enrichment classes and summer day camp programs, is seeking to hire a Director of Marketing and Communications for its dynamic and growing child-centric business. This is a part-time position with an expected 20-25 hours per week.

Job Summary

Responsible for planning, developing, and ensuring the execution of all of LINX Companies (including LINX Enrichment Classes, LINX Camps, LINX Dance Studio, and LINX Theater) marketing strategies, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Directs the efforts of the marketing and communications team. Extends the engaged audience for LINX Companies. Participates in charting the direction of LINX Companies.


The Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the Owner/Founder and serves as a member of the senior management team. The Director of Marketing and Communication is responsible for managing and developing the individuals on the marketing and communications team which includes full time and part time employees, as well as contractors. The Director of Marketing and Communications also has primary working relationships with each of the four departments within the company and the technology team.


  • Creates the strategy for and ensures the implementation of online, print, and direct mail marketing
  • Leads regular reviews and updates of web content
  • Develops press releases
  • Creates guidelines for video production and supports its development
  • Identifies and manages all professional photography needs, including stock photo purchases
  • Supports the vision and production of promotional materials for individual departments
  • Sets the internal and external marketing calendar
  • Manages the marketing and communication team budget
  • Manages social media portals and monitors social media trends and best practices
  • Tracks metrics and analyzes results for all communications
  • Researches and analyzes competitors, competitors’ marketing materials, and competitors’ digital content
  • Undertakes daily administrative tasks to ensure coordination of all marketing related activities
  • Identifies new marketing opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications preferred
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision
  • Able to think strategically, critically, and exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Able to collaborate, foster relationships, and bring solutions to the table
  • Detail and results oriented with a customer focused approach
  • Strong content writing skills and proven ability to communicate to multiple audiences
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience hiring, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel
  • Experience developing and managing budgets
  • Technologically-savvy and resourceful
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact, HTML, and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics) a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO and keyword research best practices a plus
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications a plus
