Jewelry Design

Students have the opportunity to create their own unique pieces of jewelry to wear themselves or give as great gifts!  We will be making some of our beads and decorative pieces out of clay that will be fired in our kiln with lustrous colored glazes.  Students will also have access to a variety of other materials such as wire, different types of string, and different types of beads.  We will look at examples of handmade jewelry for inspiration.  Everyone will be encouraged to bring their own creative twist to make funky pieces of wearable art!
