3-2-1 Draw!
Mr. Todd, our talented Theater/Video Director has carved time in
his schedule to instruct students in this visual art. From an early age
Mr. Todd was known for having an unsually wide range of artistic talent,
but before learning music or theater or video, he was known as a drawer.
From grade school to High School he won multiple awards for his work in
pencil and pen. At Boston College, he was often referred to as 'the guy
who draws' and people would stop to watch him create. Even now he can
be seen sketching out set or costume designs, the latter of which not
only reveal the costume, but the physical and emotional traits of the
character.
Students will learn how to break their creations down into shapes, how to create the illusion of movement and develop facial expressions, and learn how important 'attention to detail' is in elevating their artwork above standard fare. Each child will also be allowed to pursue their own creations. Rather than everyone working on the same picture, the different children can pursue their own imaginative creations around a common theme: eyes, jumping, scenic, flight, etc.
Join today. The class is packed with fun, laughter, and endless imaginative possibility!
