CHILDREN FROM ALL OVER METRO-WEST PERFORM AT BLOOMS!

Members of the LINX Performing Arts perform at BLOOMS in Boston benefitting The Massachusetts Horticultural Society.

WELLESLEY, MA – The LINX Dance Studio and Platinum Players completed an encore performance at BLOOMS in Boston, a flower show benefitting the Massachusetts Horticultural Society on Saturday, March 14th 2009.  Following a successful January performance of Dancing Through the Decades and The Locksmith’s Apprentice at the Wellesley Middle School, the young dancers and players were asked to headline at BLOOMS.  LINX the Enrichment Club for Kids in Wellesley fosters children’s interests in the performing arts, sciences, martial arts, sports and languages.

The LINX Dance Studio and LINX Platinum Players are comprised of dancers from surrounding towns such as; Dover, Needham, Newton, Wayland, Wellesley and Weston.  The performers drew an outstanding crowd at BLOOMS.  The six dance acts featured Boys Hip Hop, Ballet, Hip Hop, Cheer and Lyrical dancers creating a nice arrangement of just some of the dance forms available at LINX.  The LINX Platinum Players performed portions of their play The Locksmith’s Apprentice including chorus’s and solos.  “LINX couldn’t have been more proud of our performers today, they had an amazing time performing for a new audience and enjoyed being the stars of the show in Boston” said Melissa Habersaat, Program Director for LINX.

All of the LINX Dance Studio and Platinum Players will be performing for the public during this year’s SummerFest, on June 7th at Elm Bank in Wellesley.  SummerFest is sponsored by LINX and will benefit the Massachusetts Horticultural Society with a day full of entertainment, games, rides, food and exhibits from surrounding businesses and organizations.
